Todays the day…..
I am getting back onto my routine, chicken breasts & veg for lunch, and 2 shakes during the day. At least 5 bottles of water a day, and walk for 30 minutes…getting back to 1 hour again.
Wish me luck…

Well I had planned to get back on track May 1st, but never did. So, I have stepped away from the non-profit for a bit and plan to get back to it this week. I have gone back up on the weight, and I notice it.
So wish me luck…and send over some low cal chicken centered recipes….as plain grilled chicken gets old the 7th day you eat it.
Well, I have been sidetracked for the past month or so with work and starting a non-profit. I am still losing weight though, which is better than I thought I would be doing.
Getting back on track starting May1st, and trying to push forward. Back to chicken breasts, shakes, and water.
Just figured I would share an update.
Chris

Hey all…. have been really busy and havent had a chance to post for awhile so I figured I would today.
I am down 24lbs in about 5 weeks, could have been more but had some bad days during that time. I am doing the shake thing 2x a day and usually have a chicken breast and vegatable lunch then an occassional light snack as needed.
I also try to walk on the treadmill at least 5 days a week at 2.8mph for an hour… so at the rate I am going I hope to be close to my final goal weight by just after the 1st of Jan 2010…lol. But as I lose the weight I want to start jogging and do more physical activities which I am waiting on until I lose alot so I wont mess up my knees more than they probably already are.
So keep checking back for more info
Chris
Ok, I think I have this train rolling. I am down 10lbs in a week and a half, and think I’m doing good so far.
I had a couple big meals with family this week, but trying to keep to my hour a day on the treadmill (2.5mph) and following my diet the rest of the time kept me on track.
Thanks for all the support!
Chris

Ok… its Feb 1st. I had my last bad meal for awhile and starting on the shakes and chicken breasts/veggies. Just have to keep my snacking in check while at work…
I went to the gym this morning about 2:30a and biked 9 miles in 10 min intervals (30min total)… when you havent done it in a long time 10 mins really drains ya
So my 1st weigh in is on the 5th, and probably wont change much but people tell me the first 10 or so are the hardest… I hope they are right.
Enjoy the Super Bowl, I have to work all night
Chris

I joined Anytime Fitness yesterday and can now begin another step, working out. I am planning to go tomorrow night and just get used to the different machines that are available, and start some peddling. I am working on a workout routine that will fit what machines are available and will post it later if anyone is interested. The monthly dues will end up being about 47.00 a month about as much as 2 meals at a decent sit down and eat place, and since I will be frequenting those less will be no problem.
Also I got my new scale in today with a 550lb max, and found out I am at 412. I set my first mini goal to 300 with the final goal being 180. Lets see how this plays out :). And for the readers…..how often should you weigh yourself? One friend told me every night before bed and the other told me once a week so I wont get discouraged due to daily changes. What do you think?
See ya next time…hopefully a few pounds lighter though

I am one hour from being soft drink free for a week! I thought going from a 12pk a day to none would be hard, but so far have just had a few caffeine headaches, but keeping a bottle of Advil on my desk at work just in case. I did have a hot chocolate on Saturday, but otherwise its been water or Crystal Light.
I am going to go by Anytime Fitness either tomorrow morning or Tuesday morning to get a membership. I am in the process of setting up a daily routine that I can follow, because if I don’t, I know I will stray and not get the stuff done I need to do. Want to be at the gym at least 2 hrs, 1 hr bike and 1 hr weights…then adjust it as needed. I just need to figure out what I am going to do when I take trips…sitting on a plane 8+ hours isn’t being very active, but I will be doing a lot of walking so that will help.
I have ordered another scale, so as soon as I get it in I can set up my weight tracker and set up my goals. I just want to keep track of as much as possible.
Until next time!
I just purchased a scale with a 400lb max and maxed it out…… I thought I was in the high 300’s; but over 400lbs thats just terrible. I always viewed myself as 360-380, but I was way off. Just another push to lose the weight.
On another front, it has been 4 days without any Dr. Peppers/Cokes/etc and doing good. Have had a couple headaches but nothing major. I was counting up how many soft drinks I used to drink a day…..I was averaging a 12pk a day. Cutting those out should help alot.
Well thats where I am at today….. lets see what the next update brings.
I will drink my last soft drink today at 11:59pm. I will switch to water, some natural juices, and crystal light.
In talking with the doctor he advised that instead of starting everything at once, stagger the starts of each thing. This will allow the body to get used to the new thing before starting another. So starting with the soft drinks Monday, the diet program on the 1st, then the workout routine on the 15th. I also plan to start walking sometime next week, I just need to find a route that will provide a mile loop. This way can keep track of how many miles I walk at a time.
Time to load up the MP3 player with some upbeat music and get going.
